    • 1). Launch iTunes on your PC or Macintosh computer, and plug the iPod's cable into the docking port on the iPod.

    • 2). Plug the opposite end of the cable into the computer's USB port. Click the tab with your iPod's name on it in the iTunes' window, and click the empty box next to "Manually manage music and videos."

    • 3). Click "Apply" in the bottom-right corner of iTunes, and click the "Eject" button by the iPod tab.

    • 4). Unplug the USB cable from your primary computer. Insert the USB cable into the USB port on the alternative computer and launch iTunes.

    • 5). Drag content from the secondary computer's iTunes library to the iPod tab in the iTunes' window to add it to the iPod.

    • 6). Click "Store" on the iTunes' menu and click "Authorize Computer" from the sub-menu. Enter your iTunes or AOL email address in the "Apple ID" and "Password" field, and click "Authorize."

    • 7). Click "File" on the iTunes' menu and click "Transfer Purchases" to copy purchased content from the iPod to the computer. Click the "Eject" button next to the iPod tab to manually disconnect the iPod.
