How to Tell the Version of AVG
- 1). Double-click on the AVG anti-virus software icon on your desktop, or go through the Windows start menu to find the program installed on your computer and click "Open."
- 2). View the program's main window. Find the information printed in small type at the bottom of this window. AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2011, for instance, displays the exact version of the software on the bottom left-hand side of the program's window when open. Find the words "AVG Version" and "License Type" to determine the version you have installed.
- 3). Click on the "Help" menu and select "About AVG." You can see information about the version of AVG on your computer as well as review your license agreement, the program information and contact AVG information.
