Hydrostatic Underwater Weighing

It's a way to measure your body fat percentage.
If you've never heard of it, we're not that different.
Before this past weekend, I vaguely knew it existed, but had never looked into it.
Then something interesting happened.
First off, this occurred on a Beachbody cruise I was sent on as a reward for helping people get going with their fitness over the past year.
So I was feeling pretty good about myself on one hand, yet I was hanging out with a bunch of other coaches who were in phenomenal shape, making sure I picked the right swimsuit that wasn't too tight, shirts that weren't too tight.

not getting a ton of sun since I didn't like laying out in front of everyone.
.
.
kind of a bummer, especially when I'm promoting health and fitness.
So on the Thursday of the cruise, a coach approached some of us with the idea to do a body fat percentage loss contest with a monetary buy-in, winner takes all.
I saw this as a chance to focus, and also to see JUST how far I have to go to get where I want to be.
The actual hydrostatic underwater weighing was a fun experience.
It was warm water, very comfortable, but of course there's the anxiety of dipping your head under, pushing out all the air, and staying under for a few more seconds.
The caliper pinching was rather painful, but I'm glad they did it, so I can enter all of those stats into the Beachbody Club tracker and really track every part of my progress! Here are the results I got from both tests, so these are my official "Before" stats: Caliper info: Chest: 23mm Axilia: 27mm Tricep: 10mm Back: 33mm Abdomen: 27mm Hip: 27mm Thigh: 15mm Density: 1.

Want to go there with me? Check your area for these tests, or see if there are similar tests you can take.
Face your fears, get the measurements.
Then make a plan of action to DO something about it.
You'll be that much more satisfied when you do.
