Business Taxes to File and Report in October
Here are the business taxes and due dates for those taxes which must be reported and paid in October. If you have a large payroll, you should make payroll tax deposits according to the semiweekly deposit rule; these dates are not shown on this calendar. 1. October 15 - File Your Non-corporate Income Tax Return (if you extended)
If you are filing your business income tax along with your personal tax return, you may have filed a request for an extension. That extension runs out on October 15 and your tax return is due by this date. This deadline applies to sole proprietorship, single-member LLC and partnership filings.More »2. Form 5500 (the Annual Report/Return of Employee Benefit Plan) is due 7 months after the end of your plan year. For calendar year plans, the due date is thus July 31.
