    • 1). Bring up the digital keyboard and position your fingers over where you typically would with a standard keyboard. If you are using a wireless phone's digital keyboard you should use only your two thumbs to write. The keys are too small to accept all of your fingers.

    • 2). Lightly press directly into the middle of the key, then release your finger. You do not need to press hard, otherwise you are going to type in multiple letters. Make sure to press in the middle. If you don't you may actually end up pressing a nearby letter or number.

    • 3). Don't rest your fingers on the keyboard as you would a standard keyboard. Doing so actually types in the letters your fingers are resting on.

    • 4). Press your finger on the screen in the area you want to make a correction. Hold the finger down and eventually the cursor begins to blink where your finger is. This replaces the mouse because most devices with a digital keyboard do not have a mouse.

    • 5). Practice. Just like when you first learned how to type on a standard keyboard it is going to take practice. Because of the lack of feedback when typing it is a completely different feeling and does take some time to get use to, but eventually you are going to find yourself getting the hang of it.
