If a couple has tried every possible way to save a marriage but is not able to do so, the only alternative left is to go in for a divorce.
The next issue is who are the individuals who are going to be affected by this divorce? The answer is simple, firstly the couple, the immediate family members and last but not the least, the children.
Children react to this decision of their parents and feel very sad and depressed about it.
This also has to deal with how the parents have dealt with the situation.
There are an increasing percentage of divorce cases which are being filed.
The child who fails to receive the support of his parents is surely going to feel dejected.
There are chances that a child will become disobedient and unruly and try to vent out feelings on the family members.
If this behavior is not controlled, the situation could get worse and the child will get attracted to negative groups.
The child will feel uncared for at home and try to make the wrong friends which would lead the child to do the wrong things.
As the couple is too busy and depressed with their own sentiments and feelings, the child gets neglected and does not have a shoulder to cry on.
They try to seek attention from other people who are ready to listen to them and the child airs out his feelings.
The child's academic performance dwindles as the child is unable to give attention to his studies due to problems at home and the emotional trauma which he or she is going through, thanks to the parents divorce.
Children suffer from depression and feel isolated due to the divorce and develop negative thoughts about marriage and may not believe in the institution of marriage when they grow up to be matured adults.
In most of the divorce cases, the women are given custody of the children.
Even the law feels that the child is comfortable with the mother, but when it comes to shouldering the financial responsibility, the husband has to give his due monthly share for maintaining the child.
