Black & Decker Alligator Lopper Instructions
- 1). Put on protective goggles and gloves. The Alligator Lopper acts as a chainsaw, so sawdust will fly into your eyes without protective eyewear.
- 2). Plug the extension cord into an outdoor outlet. Then, plug the tool into the extension cord.
- 3). Select the branches to cut. The Alligator Lopper can cut any branch up to 4 inches thick.
- 4). Press down both triggers on the inside of the handles to activate the blade. The tool will not turn on unless you press down both triggers at the same time. As you press the triggers, pull the handles apart to open the jaws, or guards, of the lopper.
- 5). Lower the jaws around the items to be cut, just as you would with traditional shears or loppers. Pull the handles together to apply pressure from the chainsaw onto the wood. When the cut is complete, the guards will close. Release the triggers to turn off the tool.
