How to Uninstall Live Messenger on Vista
- 1). Click the blue Windows logo in the bottom corner of the screen, and then click "Control Panel."
- 2). Double-click "Programs and Features." If your Control Panel is set up for the category-based view, click "Uninstall a Program" instead.
- 3). Click "Windows Live Essentials," and then click the "Change/Uninstall" button at the top of the window. The Windows Live Essentials uninstall utility appears and shows all of the Windows Live Programs currently installed.
- 4). Remove the checks from the boxes next to all of the Windows Live programs that you want to keep, and leave the check in the box next to "Windows Live Messenger." Click the "Continue" button. After a few moments, the utility will report that Windows Live Messenger was successfully uninstalled.
- 5). Click the "Close" button and close the Programs and Features list to return to the desktop.
