How to Cut Out a Background in GIMP
- 1). Select the "Scissors Select Tool" in the Toolbox window. The tool is marked with a picture of scissors.
- 2). Use the scissors to outline the background of the image. Click once to create a starting point and continue clicking along the outline to create anchor points. Your last anchor point should connect to your starting point. Move your cursor over the closed shape and click when your arrow contains a circle next to it.
- 3). Right-click over the selected area and select "cut" to remove the background.
