This is John Galipault from Worthington, Ohio Lacrosse, talking to you about offensive and defensive sticks. One of the sticks that you'll see on the field is for attack and midfielders only. The head is exactly the same as that of a defensive head, the length of the shaft differs. The total length of the head and shaft for an attacker midfielder must be between 40 and 42 inches. One of the other sticks you'll see on the filed is a defensive stick. It is noticeably different from other sticks because of the length of the shaft. The length of the head and the shaft must be between 52 and 72 inches. This is a goalie stick that you'll see on the field. They are much different because the goalie is required to save a ball and protect the goal that is 6 foot by 6 foot. That is why the head of the stick is much wider. This has been John Galipault from Worthington, Ohio, and that is the difference between offensive and defensive sticks.
