    Garland

    • Replace the existing window curtains with a homemade seasonal one. Pick up an inexpensive piece of green felt or fabric, flip back the top and use an iron-on hem to make the curtain pocket. String red and green beads onto one long string to make a garland and one short string for a tieback. Wrap one end of the garland on one side of the window rod, swag it through the middle and bring it up to the other end of the rod. Pull back the center of the curtain with the tieback to uncover the LED Santa face in the middle of the window.

    Evergreen

    • Wrap evergreen branches around your curtain rod, and attach them to the rod with wire while you staple the branches to the center of your window and your bottom windowsill. Pick out metallic and unusual-shaped Christmas ornaments. Slip a ribbon through the ornament, and hang the balls from the top curtain. Vary the height of the ornaments as you make some almost touch the sill while others only reach half the window. Flock the perimeter of the windows with faux snow.

    Wreath

    • Hang a wreath in your window rather than put one on the door. You can make your own live wreath by wrapping branches around a circular wire and adding small red berries to it, or create one of festive ribbons as you twirl green and red ribbons around a grapevine wreath. Embellish the wreath with tiny bows and bell ornaments as you sprinkle them throughout the wreath. For a Christmas window topper, fold a patterned Christmas-designed scarf diagonally over the curtain rod.

    Paint

    • Paint a Christmas scene on your window. Wash the windows good before you tape a stencil to the window. Outline the shapes with black acrylic paint, and fill in the paint colors of your scene. Some items to add include snowman with children skating, a manager scene, Santa with his sleigh or a Christmas tree with presents beneath it. Decorate the window further by using a Christmas-themed flag as the curtain, or outline the window with twinkle lights to complete the design.
