How to Change the Battery on a T-Mobile Dash
- 1). Turn off your HTC Dash. Turn the phone over to the back with the top end facing you and the bottom end facing away.
- 2). Place your thumbs on the battery cover near the center of the phone. Push the cover forward slightly to unlatch it. Grasp the cover, lift it away and set it aside.
- 3). Insert your fingertips into the grooves near the end of the phone on the left and right sides of the battery. Grip the battery, lift it up and pull it from the battery compartment cavity. Set it aside for disposal.
- 4). Unwrap your new battery. Insert the battery -- metal battery contacts aligned with the prongs inside the compartment -- into the cavity and then lower it until it lays level.
- 5). Slide the cover onto the back of your phone.
