How to Clean Canvas Boots
- 1). Remove the shoelaces from the canvas boots and set them aside.
- 2). Scrub the boots with a soft-bristled brush such as an old toothbrush to remove any excess dirt or debris.
- 3). Fill a sink or bucket with warm water and add one to two tablespoons of mild liquid soap.
- 4). Dip a cloth into the soapy water and wring it out. Wipe the canvas boots thoroughly with the cloth. Rinse any dirt from the soft-bristled brush and use it to clean the soles and remove tough stains. Avoid soaking the boot soles with water.
- 5). Rinse the cloth with clean water and wring it out. Wipe over the canvas boots to remove any soap residue.
- 6). Press the canvas boots with paper towels to absorb any excess water. Set the boots in front of a vent or fan to dry.
- 7). Wash the shoelaces in the washing machine or in a sink filled with warm, soapy water. Rinse the laces thoroughly and hang them to dry.
