Busting the Myth of Chronic Physical Back Pain

I remember when helping a relative with a claim for a back injury.
The defense included a paper by an eminent physician saying basically that chronic back pain was due to emotional reasons.
In other words, the insurers were trying to blame the claimant for the back injury being all in the head.
This struck me as very underhanded, as the claimant had lost her career due to the injury.
That loss was certainly not all in the head.
Although in that particular case, going back to the same job would have led to further injury and so the claim regarding the injury was totally valid, I now realize that the pain itself is not a permanent physical entity.
That does not belittle the seriousness of an injury.
However, the pain and the injury are two totally separate entities.
It is possible to have a chronic injury and no pain.
There are whole industries built around pain.
Everything from painkillers to creams and lotions to machines to massages...
The list is endless, and every now and then, there is a new patch or magnetic device or some other gizmo designed for pain relief.
And like I was shocked and incredulous that the insurer was trying to belilittle my loved one's serious injury, most claims that chronic back pain is due to emotional reasons fall on deaf ears.
Additionaly, the pain is very real.
If you put your hand on the muscles involved, you can feel the tension.
Shooting pains, such as with sciatica for example, can be felt all night, keeping the sufferer awake tossing and turning.
A frozen shoulder can only move so far and anyone can literally see the range of movement is limited.
How can that not be physical?! That is not all in the head.
Then I found a method of pain release that has the power of releasing even the pain of a permanent back injury.
This method is EFT, short for Emotional Freedom Techniques, and otherwise known as Tapping.
EFT uses physical stimulation of the Chinese energy meridians whilst using some clever wording in order to release an emotional feeling that was stuck in the physical body.
My first encounter with EFT for back pain was my own, which was initially released in minutes.
I still believed it was a physical thing and refused to consider that there was an emotional component.
However, after finally addressing the underlying emotional issues, I am now permanently pain-free despite a permanent physical challenge in my upper back.
I also wrote about the case of Sharon, who released back pain of four years' duration mainly in one session once the emotional component was collapsed.
The back pain was due to holding onto anger for the driver who had caused the accident leading to the back pain in the first place.
Once this anger was released, the pain was released - permanently.
After this experience, I became a believer that our emotions can be a major component of back pain.
So even when there is an actual permanent physical component to the back pain, it is the emotional component that keeps the chronic pain there.
The release of this emotional component is now made possible with EFT Tapping.
EFT has the power to completely remove those emotions behind the pain.
If you have chronic back pain yourself, try releasing this emotional component with EFT.
You can learn EFT free online and do the tapping yourself or you can engage the services of an experienced practitioner.
