How to Make a Bed Riser
- 1). Remove your old bed frame and set it aside.
- 2). Cut all four 4x4x8 pieces down to the length you want the bed to be.
- 3). Cut three 2x4s the length of the bed.
- 4). Cut two 2x4s the width of the bed.
- 5). Screw the 2x4s together to make a frame for your bed to sit on, using the third long one in the middle as a support beam underneath the middle of the box spring/mattress. Use the bracket to create a connection between the beams and set your 2" screws into the 2x4 sections and 4" screws into the 4x4 sections.
- 6). Using the four 4x4s, screw them into the bottoms of the bed frame using screws at least 4 inches in length through the bracket connections to create your "legs."
- 7). Once your entire frame is together, place your box spring and mattress on top, and place any objects for storage below.
