Oh, hi there, Jan here, sharing a bit about email marketing and how to include plenty of content in those emails.
I don't know about you, but I get all lost in email marketing sometimes, thinking I should keep it short and simple, because people are so busy.
But, then there's not enough content.
When I open an email, I personally want some content, some reason to open the darned thing.
So, I try to give my readers the same value I would like.
Enough content makes opening an email worthwhile.
Honest subject lines - If your reader didn't buy something from you, they have no account.
Don't mislead them.
Be honest in your subject line and give them something that is true and real.
I delete emails that have misleading subject lines, without reading them.
Personalize the email - Use their first name, but don't get in their business.
Don't you hate it when someone tries to read your mind and gets in your face about your business? Give them the straight of whatever you're sending them.
Focus on giving them substance in the email and a link that works.
Be valuable by staying on topic.
Fulfill the subject line by giving the reader what you promise.
End on a good note - Share something good.
We all hear enough bad news to last us a life time.
Share good news.
Tell your reader something good that is happening, and give them a chance to respond to your by including your email or at least have a repliable email on the account.
I never did understand sending out messages from a do-not-reply @ website.
