If You"re Not Saved, You"re an Incomplete Person

103 6
We've all heard someone say...
There's something missing in my life and I'm not sure what it is.
The fact is they really are missing something in their life that causes them to be an incomplete person.
Adam and Eve were created as complete humans with a body, soul and the Holy Spirit.
God intended for them to live an eternal life.
Unfortunately, because they sinned when they ate the forbidden fruit, they were destined to a physical death and God also blocked communication through the Holy Spirit from them.
Man was now incomplete.
He still had a body and a soul, but his spirit was dead.
For three thousand years man could only communicate with God mostly through priest and prophets.
The good news is God has provided a way back to being complete.
"And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness...
" Genesis 1:26.
In this scripture we hear God speaking as more than one person.
There are three components to God (Father - Son - Holy Spirit).
There are also three components to man (body - soul - spirit) There is only one living and true God.
He is an intelligent and Spiritual Being, The Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe.
God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections.
The idea of 'One God" was unique in the world when the bible was born.
All other societies had many Gods.
Israel alone worshipped the one true God Jehovah.
God is omnipotent (all powerful), omnipresent (everywhere at all times), and omniscient (all wise and knowing).
He rules with providential care over His universe.
He is the God of love, justice, mercy and wrath.
He is eternally existent in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
This is referred to as the Holy Trinity.
Each personality has an individual responsibility, but they work in perfect harmony with each other.
THE THREE COMPONENTS OF THE GODHEAD GOD THE FATHER: The Commander.
He makes all the decisions and issues all the commandments.
No decisions or commandments can be performed by the Son until the Father decides or commands it.
GOD THE SON: Jesus Christ, carries out or performs the commands of the Father.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT: Is the power that brings into action the performance of the Son.
AN EXAMPLE: The Father gives a command to turn on a light - the Son Jesus flips the switch - The Holy Spirit directs the power that makes the light bulb glow.
The Holy Spirit is the power of God.
He is the power of both the Father and the Son.
There is no way to communicate with the Father and the Son without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
THE THREE COMPONENTS OF MAN THE BODY: The Bible refers to the body as the flesh.
And warns us not to live in the flesh but in the spirit.
It houses the senses that Satan appeals to, with the intention of tempting us to sin.
They are our senses of hearing, touch, sight, taste and smell.
It's easy to understand how Satan can use these senses to draw us into an activity that the body likes but is against Gods teaching.
THE SOUL: This is the intellectual part of our person.
The mind (both conscious and unconscious), able to experience emotion, and exercise free will to reason and to make moral or immoral decisions.
THE SPIRIT: This is the part of the person that communicates with the mind.
This is the battlefield where war is waged to persuade you to do either right or wrong.
This is your conscience.
We've all seen the movie scene where the little red devil was at one ear telling someone it would be okay to do something that was wrong.
At the other ear there would appear a beautiful little angle cautioning them not to do it.
Well, this is actually what's happening.
We just can't see them.
This is the area where the Holy Spirit resided in Adam and Eve.
This is same Holy Spirit that resided in Adam and Eve and Jesus and can now take residence in us because The Father sent The Son to die on a cross to pay our sin debt.
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ" At the time we receive Christ as our savior, we receive the indwelling if the Holy Spirit.
Now we have the three components that make us complete.
A body -- a soul -- and the Holy Spirit.
The sin nature is still there, but we now have a direct line of communication to the Father, that will teach and guide us in our walk with Christ.
He will help us fight our battles, and grow our spiritual fruits.
"But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives He will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control".
Galatians 5:22,23.
The unsaved can never reach this level of joyful completeness because there's something missing in their life.
Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
" Witnessing is difficult for many Christians.
However, God commands it.
Thousands are starting to bring others to Christ through "Bridge Ministries".
We often don't realize that some of the best gifts that God has given us are the things we love to do the most.
We often think of those gifts as something God has blessed us with, to bring us joy and pleasure to our lives.
While this is true, those gifts were also given to us to serve as a bridge to bring others into the church, and to Him.
Bringing others to Christ doesn't have to be a struggle.
It can be as simple as sharing "What you love to do" with others.
