Surviving A Breakup - Is It Possible? Yes, It Is!

103 6
A breakup is always difficult to go through for both parties.
In any breakup, both parties will naturally have hard feelings and strong emotions so surviving a breakup requires you to be strong.
It may seem impossible, but surviving a break up can be done.
Of course, the hole left by your recent breakup is not one that can be easily closed or filled.
But remember that people break up all the time; you aren't the only one who had to go through it and feel devastated.
If others can get through a breakup, your chances of surviving a breakup are very good as well.
Be comforted by the knowledge that you are not alone.
There are several things you can do to help you with surviving a breakup, as well as help you move on with your life.
First, you need to let your pain and emotions out.
You cannot keep your pain inside forever, and it is actually healthier to express your pain, hurt, and anger than to bottle them all inside.
A breakup is a lot like losing a loved one to death.
You have to accept that you will feel pain and you will cry and let your emotions out.
Try writing the way you feel down on paper, yelling, screaming, or whatever it is that helps you get your pain out so you can find a way to move past your breakup.
When you are calm and are able to think clearly, you will be ready to carefully examine the situation and determine where your relationship stands.
You have to know what you feel and what you want in order to decide what you need to do.
After some deep thinking, you may realize that there is no way for the relationship to be fixed.
Both you and your partner need to face this and decide where to go from there.
Once you know the relationship is not able to continue, you need to be sure the two of you do not share anything anymore.
You should give each other back the belongings you have at each other's homes.
You will need to work through any issues that bind you together and be sure you sever the emotional ties as much as you can.
After all your shared issues are separated, you can choose a ritual to symbolize the end of the relationship.
It could be burning a picture, letter, or other item that reminds you of your ex.
Whatever it is that will tell you for sure that you cannot go back will work.
It will be different for everyone.
You need to rely on the people who are willing to support you.
Let your close friends and family members who care to help you and give you the emotional support you need as you transition from being in a relationship to being single again.
As much as you do to get through surviving a breakup, you cannot avoid the pain and emotional distress that a breakup inevitably causes.
But with a good support system, you will come out all right in the end.
