Affordable Restaurants in South West London

Who was it that said those who are bored of London are bored of life? London has its finger on the pulse. From restaurants to galleries to clubs it's a city that keeps us entertained- and one of the best parts is that every little neighbourhood has its own identity and charm. Here are a few yummy and inexpensive restaurants in the South West.

1.For pasta lovers:

Somehow getting pasta wrong feels like a crime. Alio e Olio is a small Italian restaurant that gets it right. They've mastered their menu and don't even attempt to stray far off of it. They offer a nice consistency both in their food and service. Fulham Road, Chelsea.

2.For sushi lovers:

At the corner of Gloucester Road and Palace Gate lives a small Japanese restaurant called Koi. The food is delicious, the staff are humble and the price is, well.... It's worth it.

3.Mexican:

Okay, it's a little bit more central but Caf Pacific in Covent Garden offers a fun Mexican experience. The food is good, but more importantly the culture is loud, vibrant, and entertaining. Pitchers of marguerites can be ordered to large wooden carpenter tables as well as tasty food that are great for sharing.

4.Mouth-watering Organic:

If you are craving a taste of delicious, fresh, home cooked food then head over to Jacks on Walton Street in South Kensington. Customers must go up to order their food and can choose from a wide variety of salads, meats, and vegetarian mains. Fresh juices and desserts are available as well.

5.Hmmm... Burgers:

Everyone has an opinion on where to get the best burger, but I have to say Byron has me sold. Although a chain, Byron delivers juicy, quality burgers every time. And they've managed to create a bun that is so good it could be eaten alone. Don't even get me started on their Oreo milkshakes.

6.Sunday Roast:

For a delightful Sunday experience, pop into The Pig's Ear on Old Church Street. Complete with long tables, comfy couches, and cosy fireplaces, it's no wonder that Londoners spend their entire Sunday there. Go for a drink, board game, or a meal- whatever the reason, just go.

7.Pancakes Please:

Mayfair isn't too far for a delicious stack is it? Automat is a wonderful restaurant that really has it all (they could have easily made my burger pick). And their pancakes are out of this world. Try the blueberry and don't forget to ask for extra maple syrup.

There you have it- a start to your South West London eating tour. While the neighbourhood offers everything posh and ritzy, there are also many places where you can eat well for less. Bon Appetite.
