How to Make a Halloween Volunteer Sheet
- 1). Open a new document in your photo editing or word processing software. The document size should be set at 8-by-11 inches.
- 2). Select the text tool and create a large headline for the sheet so that volunteers know what they are signing up for. Place the text on a new layer (if you are using photo editing software) so that you can freely move and manipulate it later.
- 3). Create subheadings for the sheet so that volunteers know what type of information to write. At minimum, a volunteer sign-up sheet should ask for the volunteer's name, contact number and in what ways they are willing to help out. The information should be specific to your event, but might also include a contact e-mail address, whether or not a volunteer can drive or if the volunteer can make food for the event.
- 4). Select the line tool and create a thin, straight line underneath each sub-heading. Each line should be long enough so that volunteers are able to write in their information. Create the line on a new layer so that you can alter it later.
- 5). Copy each line and paste them multiple times until the document is filled to capacity. When pasting the line, be sure there is enough space for volunteers to write and that the line is lined up evenly with the one above it.
- 6). Decorate the sheet using Halloween clip art such as pumpkins, ghosts or witches. Copy and paste any clip art items into a new layer so that they can be freely manipulated. Although clip art makes the sheet look nice, the focus should be on functionality, so decorate sparingly.
- 7). Save the file and print out multiple copies, just in case you have more volunteers than expected.
