Family and Babysitter Have a Close Call with a Burglar
There are many predators all over the country that can cause harm to you and your family or those who wish to rob your house of everything you have worked so hard to earn. Many people rely on the great service provided by a home security company to protect their home when they are away. The families also depend on these services to protect their family from harm while they are in the house. Many home predators and invaders are hardened criminals, and there is no telling what they are capable of doing to avoid returning to prison.
Many home invaders have robbed homes before. This makes them more skilled and often more successful at what they are doing. It can also make them more dangerous because they have a lot to lose if they get caught. Most perpetrators that have been to jail and gotten out have no desire to return to jail. A second or third prison sentence could mean they might spend the rest of their life behind bars, and they will do everything in their power to prevent this from happening. A home security service can prevent one of these criminals from getting close to your loved ones.
The Valenton family had the misfortune of finding a hardnosed criminal inside their home one night when they returned for dinner. The Valentons lived in a middle class suburb outside of Chicago. They both worked 9 to 5, every Monday to Friday. They had a son who was seven, and a daughter who was five. They would typically treat themselves to a nice meal in the city, once a weekend and leave the kids at home with a babysitter.
They returned home one Saturday night to find the lights off in most of the house. They parked the car in the garage and went into the house. The babysitter had put the kids to bed earlier and she was in the den watching a movie. When they turned the lights on in the kitchen, they were met with a bit of a shock. Both the television and one of their laptops were not where they had left them. Immediately they thought the babysitter had stolen them, but when they walked into the dining room they noticed one of the windows had been opened.
When he looked out the window, Mr. Valenton saw the television and laptop on the ground outside the window. When he opened the door to the living room he found a stranger in the living room disconnecting the television. Mr. Valenton spooked the man and the burglar immediately grabbed his gun and fired a few shots in the general direction of the door. The sound was deafening. He could barely hear the splintering of shattered glass over the roar echoing in his ears.
When he got up he went to check on his wife and ht babysitter, who were shaken up but alright. He ran upstairs to make sure the kids were also safe. Miraculously no one was injured and the bullets landed in the wall. The robber had managed to escape by jumping out the window but hadn't gotten any of their belongings. All of this could have been prevented by installing a home security system. The doors and windows would have been equipped with sensors that would have triggered the alarm when the burglar opened the window.
The Valentons gave the babysitter a generous tip that night and promised they would install a home security system so that she would come back. The robber was never caught, but with their new security system, the Valentons felt comfortable going out to dinner again.
