Being a happily married man I believe that qualifies me to give you my perspective of what makes a good wife.
First of all I know that men are different, but if you really want be a happy couple then read what I have to say.
Below I have listed what I feel makes a good wife.

• Communication skills-being able to communicate with me when I need help with my own problems.
  She must be a good listener and help me when help is needed.
  I should also do the same.
  The worst thing that can happen during a relationship is when one partner clams up and will not let the other person in.
  there are times for silence and times for speaking.
  
• Being able to stay with the moment is important.
  What I mean by this is when a discussion is being heard, do not change the subject to something other or your own self-interest, stay with-in the conversation.
  This can help bring solidarity to a relationship.
  
• We all have our own opinions, and either party will agree with each others views.
  Being able to tolerate differences in a relationship mean a lot to both partners.
  I might have a totally different view on a political candidate but if she can tolerate my opinion then that makes for a good wife.
  
• A good wife is one who can help keep a relationship alive by remembering important dates, doing little things that help keep a spark in my life.
  Some couples can become stagnant, but a woman who tries to keep a relationship alive by planning special events and fun things to do.
  
• A good woman will also provide emotional support to her spouse in times of crisis; it could be a medical condition, a physical hurt, or even an illness where you would need someone to standby your side.
  A wife's ability to intervene is important to provide long-term togetherness.
  
• She must not try to be right all the time, but considered the other person by trying not to be competitive.
  Completion is good when two people are against each other but during a relationship a husband and wife should try to become like one or form a distinct bond with each other.
  

I have listed the most important values that I cherish in a husband-wife relationship.
