In a similar vein, make sure that the vessel that holds the water for the pump to deliver to the fountain is large enough to hold the requisite water for your water pump. • Water fountains can create a lot of sound. If you have sensitive neighbors or neighbors who are close, less than 50 feet away, do not create a water fountain that is beyond a few inches tall. Consider purchasing a solar-powered pump. It is better for the environment and it eliminates your need to extend unattractive electrical wiring from an outlet to your fountain.
