How to Download My iPod Music Library to a Different iPod
- 1). Download a third-party application such as Ollie's iPod Extractor, Senuti for Mac or iRip. If your computer has crashed and your iPod contains the only copies of your music files, you will need to install a third-party application that can extract your iPod's files and place them onto your computer.
- 2). Connect your iPod and then open your music-extractor program. Your program will ask you to specify a location to place your music files. Choose a location or name, and create a folder on your desktop to place your files.
- 3). Select "Extract" to start copying files from your iPod to your computer.
- 4). Open the saved music files from the created folder. Next, open iTunes and then drag-and-drop your music from your folder and into iTunes.
- 5). Connect a different iPod. Then select "Sync" to start transferring your original iPod's music library onto a different iPod.
- 1). Open iTunes.
- 2). Connect a different iPod. Since iTunes automatically stores your iPod's music library, connecting a different iPod will simply sync another device.
- 3). Select "Sync" to start transferring your original iPod's music library.
