Check all of the exterior components. Make sure the hose is connected and the air compressor works properly. Make sure to connect the compressor into a working electrical outlet. - 2). Take the airbrush apart and make sure all the interior components are clean. Check the needle for bends or clogging. Check the paint cup for clogs, leaks and damage. Spray rubbing alcohol through the tool and clean the needle, paint cup and tip with a soft cloth if necessary.
- 3). Check the air pressure. If the compressor gives off too much pressure, it will ruin the spray. Follow the recommended settings as asserted by the instruction manual.
- 4). Back flush the airbrush by putting one finger over the tip and forcing air back into the hose; this clears any dried paint, dirt or crud from the inner areas of the tool.
- 5). Adjust the components of the tool to the correct specifications. Tighten caps and heads properly. Make sure the head, tip and spray regulator are all fitted into the airbrush as specified.
- 6). Check the paint. According to the Badger Anthem 155 users manual, if the spray is too grainy, the paint is too thick or the paper is buckling, the paint is too thin.
- 7). Adjust your technique. Poor hand technique causes problems such as paint blobs, flared ends, splattering, curved strokes or small bubbles in artwork.
