How to Remove Paper Stains From Ancient Paper
- 1). Combine three parts white vinegar with one part water in a bowl. Ensure the bowl you're using is big enough to accommodate the papers or pages you will need to dunk.
- 2). Place the stained paper into the bowl with the vinegar solution. Allow the paper to sit in the solution long enough to become soaked wherever staining is present.
- 3). Remove the stained paper from the cleaning solution. Place the paper on a clean towel.

Place paper towels on top of and below the paper and press them together with your hands to wick out the moisture from the papers. Change paper towels frequently and continue to press the paper towels together until there's no further transfer of moisture to the paper towels. - 5

Place wax paper between multiple pieces of paper or book pages. Iron the papers using a clothing iron set on the low heat setting. Doing this will help smooth out the pages and complete the drying process.
