Vision of Human Progress
It would seem to be a simple matter to convey a cherished concept of the goal for mankind that would also serve us as a personal inspiration and encouragement.
However, it is a mental exercise that we should all practise if we are to hold a vision of a preferred future for our civilization.
Such a fundamental principle as an existent plan may be neglected and forgiven to some extent in our individual lives but for society as a whole, it is unforgivable as it provides no vision that we all can share.
This omission in our human management of society allows the factions to develop through politics that tear nations apart, and set the stage for greater and greater separation of individuals from the processes and communications with government and its agents.
Democracies have been destroyed by rival systems that have not only created and nurtured a Plan but have insisted that the population endorse it as a vision of the State and its advancement.
It has been used as a commitment beyond any personal development and to which each must willingly sacrifice individual wishes.
We have seen these powerful Plans work to an extent of the willingness of the individual to surrender his own dreams or until a reigning Power has abused the people and betrayed the spirit of his nation.
Our world is divided in its cultures, religions and philosophies.
Friction, factions and wars are the result of having no establishment of a grand and simple vision that would embrace all nations as a global community.
The horrors resulting from our negative choices in our culture and nations demonstrate that no longer can we live as hypocrites in speaking of peace and acting with aggression.
If we cannot unite in accordance with the finest principles of civilization we are doomed to witness the fall and fall of the present one on an unprecedented global scale of a type we can barely conceive as all natural and man-made resources become exhausted along with a lack of warmth, shelter, water, food and light.
If we are prepared that the finest achievements, constructions and treasures of the efforts of men and women over centuries should be obliterated - if we wish to see beautiful buildings, edifices and ancient marvels be smashed and destroyed - if we are prepared to see animals suffering untended and in health - if we are willing to watch destruction through the imbalances of the natural elements and as a result of our erroneous values we will continue in apathy to see our lives and lifestyles crumble as we are brought to our knees.
We must face that it is greed not need that has ruined us.
We must realise that Money - a means to an advance some end, has become the end in itself and has replaced our reference to Divinity.
We want more and more, regardless of quality as the whole energy of western populations circles like a giant merry go round giddy with ambition for monetary wealth.
Is it too late to change course, make a Plan for Humanity universal in character that all will feel gives them the security and happy future they would choose as an alternative directive? We will have to act and then wait and see..
