Online recertification does not require any type of physical demonstration, so if your employer requires you to retest your physical capabilities, consider taking an offline course instead.

    • 2). Visit online CPR certification sites such as Pro CPR or the International CPR Institute and read through the details.

    • 3). Sign up for an account on the site of your choice and click on the option to renew your CPR certification.

    • 4). Spend time refreshing your knowledge of the materials needed to pass the recertification course. Use online resources such as videos and tutorials to study.

    • 5). Set aside approximately an hour to take the renewal test. Take your time while testing and answer the questions to the best of your ability.

    • 6). Print out your certification and temporary wallet card after passing the test and show it to your employer. You should receive your permanent wallet card within 7 to 10 days, depending on the site.
