Gaining Weight For the Ectomorph

103 7
If you have an ecto-morphic metabolism like me,and want to be bigger that your genes seem to want to let you be,then you have probably been frustrated with the amount of weight-loss info out there, and the lack of quality weight gain info.
The truth is,the weight-loss industry is big, big bucks and, while the weight gain industry is no small business, the former definitely "outweighs" the latter (Pun intended).
So,what can us "Skinny guys" do to add some quality pounds fast and get buffed up to look and feel better? Here are some point-form tips to help you on your mission: * Stop eating crap - junk food will make you tired and weak, and will only add fat where you don't want it.
Quality food like fruit and veggies, balanced with lean sources of protein,on the other hand, will give you long-lasting energy without putting on fat.
Try to become more of a grazer, eating five or six small meals instead of the traditional three.
* Drink two or more litres of water a day.
Hydration is so important when it comes to all functions of the body, one part of which is muscle growth.
* Join a gym.
Working out at home is cool for a while, but few stick to it.
It's amazing how dedicated you get when you are paying your hard-earned cash for a membership! * Lift heavy, training each muscle only once a week.
Recording your sets and weights will ensure you never go backwards in weight lifted.
Training your muscle groups once a week will give you the all-important rest your body needs to grow.
Also, keep your workouts to 30-45 min,as overtraining will retard your progress.
Also, take 5-1 days off every 8-10 weeks,as your body needs this time to repair itself from the pounding it gets in the gym! * Add some cardio, but don't over-do it.
Two 20-30 min cardio sessions per week is great for health benefits, and won't interfere with your weight-gain mission.
* Integrate the supplement Creatine into your routine, perhaps in a one-month on,one month off cycle.
While not essential, this stuff will help you lift heavier and recover faster, and can really help you to bulk up! * Keep at it long enough to get addicted - After a couple of months following the above tips, you will be looking and feeling brand new...
so don't give up!
