Scarlett Johansson Hosts Nobel Peace Prize and Talks About Love
Scarlett Johansson recently hosted the Nobel Peace Prize Concert held at Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway, where the actress was paired with critically-acclaimed actor Sir Michael Caine. Among the musicians present at the event were singers Jason Mraz, Diana Ross, Il Divo, Robyn and Marit Larsen. Martti Ahtisaari was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2008 for pursuit to resolve international conflicts over the course of several years.
Just a few months ago, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were married in a "small wedding [that] took place at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver - with the limited guest list including Scarlett's mother, Melanie Sloan, and her brother, Adrian Johansson." In Scarlett's interview with UK Cosmopolitan, she revealed her thoughts on marriage and her husband Ryan Reynolds. "This is a very beautiful time for me. Getting married is a huge moment in anyone's life, and the few months leading up to it were a little crazy," says the "Match Point" star. She added, "But Ryan and I are in love, and we're enjoying evolving our relationship together. I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction."
Scarlett had revealed her thoughts on soul mates in the past. She's said, "I believe in finding a soul mate. I've always been in monogamous relationships. I would never want to be in an open one. It'd be too awful." She added, "You don't always meet the right person at the right time... It's important for people to figure out their own lives before involving someone else to gauge where you are and work on your own issues." She even touched on the topic of monogamy, and revealed, "I don't think it's a natural instinct for human beings. Monogamy can be hard work for some people. I don't think it applies to everybody, and I don't think a lot of people can do it."
Scarlett has also been busy promoting her new movie "The Spirit" (directed by Frank Miller) with co-star Eva Mendes. "The Spirit" is a story about "a rookie cop named Denny Colt, who returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces in Central City."
