  River North is the northernmost neighborhood in downtown Chicago, located immediately north of the Chicago River. Dozens of restaurants are in the area, but a few stand out as popular amongst locals and tourists alike. Diverse styles are offered at these establishments, and prices vary for those on a tight budget.
  
  

Fogo De Chao

• Fine meats are the specialty at Fogo de Chao. Steaks are served Brazilian style, meaning servers carve the meat table-side, and it is all-you-can-eat. Large parties and families enjoy the most filling meal in River North, but prices are high at this South American restaurant. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
  
  

Cafe Iberico

• One of the most popular tapas restaurants in Chicago is located on the northern edge of the River North neighborhood. Cafe Iberico has a very large dining space, drawing up to 1000 guests on weekend nights. The over-21 crowd stays late on the weekends to enjoy small plates and sangria until 1:30 a.m.
  
  

Lou Malnati's

• Chicago is famous for its deep dish pizza, but the most unique pie that can't be found in other areas of the country is Lou Malnati's. Rosebud

• Two Rosebud chains are located in the River North neighborhood. Rosebud on Rush is a steakhouse and Italian eatery ideal for romantic dates. Reservations are accepted at this branch. Rosebud Trattoria is more laid-back and casual, more appropriate for a family dinner.
  
  

Ed Debevic's

• Ed Debevic's is popular amongst tourists to the Windy City, especially young people. The servers at this restaurant are also actors who make a point to argue with diners. The bickering between guests and servers is part of the gimmick that makes this '50s-style burger joint a memorable and fun experience for diners of all ages.
