Weigh Diatomaceous Earth

• 1). Choose a kitchen scale that offers the capacity you need for the amount of diatomaceous earth you are weighing.
  
  
• 2). Spoon the diatomaceous earth into or onto the kitchen scale. These scales are very precise, and spooning in the earth slowly will allow you to get a precise measurement. If you are measuring how much you have left in a container, pour all of the contents into the kitchen scale.
  
  
• 3). Record the weight of the earth when you are done spooning it in and before transferring it to the container of your choice.
