    • 1). Rub a dust cloth over the hard plastic teeth outside the nozzle. Removing any pet hair from the outside of the nozzle reduces allergens and keeps loose hair from spreading while you clean the inside.

    • 2). Unscrew the outer casing of the Power Paw with a small screwdriver. The hard outer casing protects the rotating bristle brush. Removing it lets you examine and properly clean the interior.

    • 3). Examine the interior of the nozzle head for any restricting threads, human hair clumps, ribbons, string, or tape you accidentally vacuumed. These items restrict the rotation speed of the bristle brush, making the Power Paw less effective.

    • 4). Slide a plastic knife under the debris on the Power Paw bristle brush. Wiggle the knife upward to loosen the debris.

    • 5). Unravel and pull out the loosened debris with your fingers. Rotate the brush manually if the debris stops coming loose after a few inches.

    • 6). Clean all accessible surfaces inside the Power Paw nozzle with a dry dust cloth.

    • 7). Replace the outer casing, and secure the screws tightly.
