I don't know about you but I would rather save the planet then spend the day checking my latest Facebook posts on the next newest computer available.
It is such a precious time and it keeps getting increasingly worse because nobody is taking the time to cooperate and be active about recycling.
If people can get past the confidentiality factor of hard drives and trust someone that knows what they're doing then they would help so much.
Identity theft has become a big issue but someone having access to confidential information at a small recycling facility is not going to happen.
Having your hard drive destroyed is the only secure way to get rid of the data.
Sure, you have programs that you can use to erase the data, but actually erasing it without having it be retrievable is going to take a shredding and a melting.
Your hard drive being erased doesn't mean that the data is gone.
It has to be physically destroyed and the minute remains need to be melted.
