Hi, I'm Chef Candace Conley, and I've got a super easy and fun appetizer to impress your guests. It's prosciutto and Gruyere pastry pinwheels. Very simple to start with, you have a sheet of puff pastry that you're going to roll out with your rolling pin just a little bit. You want it just a little bit bigger than the way it starts out. Then you're going to prick it with a fork because with puff pastry obviously, it puffs up, and with pinwheels, you don't want want it to puff quite as much as it usually does. Then, here comes the really easy part. You spread it with a little bit of Dijon mustard, then sprinkle it with Gruyere cheese, followed by about four or five slices of prosciutto. Prosciutto is really thin, so you don't really require a lot, it has a lot of flavor. Then you're going to roll them up, then we're going to slice them very thinly and place them on a cookie sheet that's been lined with parchment paper. They go into the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, until they're nice and golden brown. That's all there is to it, hope you enjoy them.
