How to Remove Burnt Plastic from Wood

• 1). Place washcloth or rag over burnt plastic.
  
  
• 2). Circle hot iron over the rag, keeping the heat moving so as not to further embed the plastic into the wood. Some plastic will be fused into the rag.
  
  
• 3). Use the razor blade or putty knife to scrape off the rest.
  
  
• 4). Rub a solvent, lacquer thinner or rubbing alcohol to loosen plastic from the wood if heat doesn't work.
