How to Start Up Installing Windows XP CD With a DOS Boot

    • 1). Insert the boot disk and the Windows XP CD into the computer.

    • 2). Restart the PC. Press any key to boot from disk.

    • 3). Type "x:" and press "Enter," replacing "x" with the drive containing the Windows XP CD.

    • 4). Type "cd i386," press "Enter," type "winnt," and press "Enter" again.

    • 5). Type "x:\i386" and press "Enter," replacing "x" with the drive letter of the drive containing the Windows XP CD.
