Step one: The preparation of the floor.

First and foremost, you have to make sure there is no paint or varnish on your wood floors. If this is not the case, you will have to strip and sand your floors. Step two: Staining.

Step three: The final step, varnishing.

The final step is to put on varnish on the previously stained flooring. The selection of varnish depends on the finish you want (satin, gloss, semi-gloss, or matte). Even if simple to implement, this finishing process is very important as the varnish will protect wood floors against damage caused by UV rays, wear, and scratches, and will also help preserve the original color of the woodwork.

N.B. For a good protection, you need to apply two coats of your varnish.
