How to Disable Bluetooth in XP
- 1). Go to the "Start" menu, select "Run," type the command "sysdm.cpl" and click "OK."
- 2). Select the "Hardware" tab, and then choose "Device Manager."
- 3). Click the plus sign next to "Bluetooth Radios" to expand the selection. Click the button on the right of your mouse for each of the devices listed under "Bluetooth Radios." Select "Uninstall" and then choose "OK."
- 4). Select the "Close" button on the "Device Manager," and then click "OK."
- 5). Go to the "Start" menu, navigate to "Accessories" and choose "Windows Explorer." Open the folder on the C drive named "C:\Windows\Inf."
- 6). Find the file named "Bth.inf," right-click on the file and select the "Rename" option. Type "Bth.inf.old" in the field to rename the file.
- 7). Find the file named "Bth.pnf," right-click on the file and select the "Rename" option. Type "Bth.pnf.old" in the field to rename the file.
- 8). Go to the "Start" menu and select "Restart" to restart your computer.
