  • 1). Start Dreamweaver and open the page the jump menu will be added to.

  • 2). Open the Insert menu and select Form Object, then Jump Menu.

  • 3). Type the text for the first option in the Text box. The first option appears by default in the jump box, so it's best to make this a nonselective description, such as "Pick an Area to Go To."

  • 4). Click on the Select First Item After URL Change box.

  • 5). Click on the plus sign at the top of the box to add another jump menu item. Type the text for this option in the text box.

  • 6). Locate the When Selected, Go to URL box and type the name of the page the user will be taken to when this option is selected. Click on the Browse button to select a page from your hard disk.

  • 7). Click on the plus sign to add another jump menu item.

  • 8). When you're finished adding jump options, click OK and save the file.

  • 9). Preview the page by choosing Preview in Browser from the File menu.
