Some Exercises to Improve Eyesight

A lot of people think about exercising their bodies because it makes them look better, but what about the ability to see better? You might not realize this, but your eyes need exercise just like the rest of your body.
Eye problems can result from too much time on the computer or just general aging, so you might as well try to prevent them when you can.
This will save you a lot of money on eye care in the long run.
Below are eight different exercises you can do with your eyes to improve your vision.
One simple way to fix your eye problems is to relieve them of their stress for a moment.
Place your hand over your eyes with the base of your palm on your cheekbones.
Make sure that no light gets to your eyes and just sit there for three to five minutes.
This will give your eyes a break when they need it.
You could also give your eyes relief by just squeezing them shut for three seconds, repeating for five times or more.
This is particularly beneficial for people who spend a lot of time on their computers.
Another simple exercise to do to strengthen your eyes involves you sitting motionless, with only your eyes moving.
Pick a point in front of you to be your focus.
Then, moving only your eyes, look down at your lap and then up at that point five times.
You could also look out the window and focus on something far in the distance.
Hold your eyes there for eight seconds and then refocus on something that is closer to you.
Repeat this process three times and try to do it periodically throughout the day.
A simple up and down exercise is good for strength as well.
Just slowly look up and down and blink along the way to prevent a lot of future eye problems.
Repeat that with motions left to right.
To improve your eye coordination, hold an object at arm's length away from you and move it in a figure eight pattern.
Follow it with your eyes for ten to fifteen seconds.
If you use a small enough object, you can then try an exercise where you move the item from arm's length to the tip of the nose, always following it with your eyes.
Finally, you can try an exercise late at night by closing your eyes in a dark room.
Turn the light on and off and practice relaxed breathing.
This will prevent eye problems with your iris in the future.
Anyway remember to have an eye test with your optometrist at least once a year.
