    • 1). Secure contents inside the shipping container. Directional arrows cannot always be honored, and plants may be shipped in different orientations.

    • 2). Protect plants from extreme temperatures that may occur during shipping or after delivery (at the recipient's location).

    • 3). Ship vases or containers without water and shield soil in plant containers to prevent spills and seepage.

    • 4). Affix your shipping label to the top of the box to enhance the chance of shipment in the preferred orientation.

    • 5). Make sure you keep to any applicable local, state and federal laws regarding shipment of plants. If you are shipping plants abroad, contact the country's embassy in the United States. Most countries prohibit or severely restrict the importation of plants.
