This church can be found near the Balcón de Europa - the Balcony of Europe - where it has been constructed in the Baroque-Mudejar style.
The church was built during the 17th century and it is a wonderful place to visit.

This "Balcony" was built around 1487 on the site of a former 9th century castle.

From the Balcón de Europa your next destination in Nerja might be that of El Puente de Aguila.
The English name for this 19th century aqueduct is that of the Eagle's bridge.
It looks similar to the Roman built ones and it was used to bring water to the village of Maro.
This village is one of the oldest settlements that you will find in Nerja.
You will find it easy to see the aqueduct as it is one the way to the Caves of Nerja.
