Perfect Love Part 1
I want to talk about love for a minute.
In today's society people think that one min you can love someone and in another min hate them.
Well, I'm afraid that isn't possible.
How can that be you ask? God is what you call a perfect spirit.
Everything done by him is perfect even the things he gives us, for instance, love.
God gives us this gift which is perfect.
So when you love someone then that bond between you is perfect because it comes from God.
In the Book of 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 5 -9 we get a clear understanding of how God wants us to grow in love.
It's a step by step process that needs to be learned.
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
The way passion is describe here in 1 Corinthians 13 shows us how devotion is perfect.
It later says that love is greater than faith and hope.
Love cannot be lost because it comes from God and God is everywhere.
So either you love someone or you don't.
There is no in between.
Either your hot or you're cold, no lukewarm.
So ask yourself: Do you either love the people in your life or not? Like I said there is no middle.
You have to make that choice yourself.
