How to Transfer a WMF to an iPod
- 1). Download and install a file-converter application which allows you to convert WMF files into the MP4 format. There are numerous applications available, such as Bink and Open Source, so simply search the Internet for a suitable software program.
- 2). Follow the instructions of your specific file-converter application on how to convert the WMF file into an MP4 file and save the MP4 file either on the desktop or in a folder on the computer's hard drive.
- 3). Plug the iPod into your computer with a USB cable. An icon for the iPod should automatically appear in the "Devices" section of the iTunes window.
- 4). Open the iPod's menu by clicking on its icon and open the "Summary" tab found at the top of the new interface.
- 5). Select "Manually manage music and videos" and ensure it is the only option selected.
- 6). Select "File" in the main iTunes toolbar and select "Add file to library." A window appears which shows your computer's contents.
- 7). Select the MP4 file you wish to add to your iTunes library by double-clicking on it or clicking it once and selecting "Choose." The file is then transferred to iTunes.
- 8). Drag and drop the MP4 file from the iTunes library onto the iPod icon in "Devices." It then begins to sync with your iPod.
