    • 1). Purchase a mount that will attach to your TV. Consult your owner's manual beforehand as it may have suggestions on which type to buy.

    • 2). Attach the TV portion of the wall bracket to the TV. There should be mount locations on the back of the TV. Pull the covers off to access. Use the screws or bolts that came with the bracket to attach it to the television.

    • 3). Attach the wall side of the bracket to the TV part so that you can determine where the wall connection is in proportion to the TV.

    • 4). Use a measuring tape to figure the length between the wall bracket and the bottom end of the television.

    • 5). Operate a stud finder to locate wall studs in the area where you want the television. Mark where the studs are located.

    • 6). Tap small nails into the wall two inches to the left and right of where you found the studs in Step 5. Keep tapping the nails in, moving them each time closer to the stud mark, until you find where the sides of the studs are located. Use this knowledge to mark the center of the studs. It is best to mount the brackets into the center of the studs for strength.

    • 7). Measure the height of your TV and determine where you want it on the wall. Mark the bottom end of the television on the wall.

    • 8). Measure where you determined the wall mount would be in proportion to the bottom of the TV. Place the wall bracket on the wall where it is supposed to be and mark drill holes.

    • 9). Drill pilot holes into the studs with a drill bit that is smaller than the screws being used. Attach the bracket to the wall with the screws that came with the bracket.

Slip the television and its attached bracket onto the wall bracket. Tighten down the screws or bolts that keep the brackets from sliding back apart.

Run TV cables from the wall outlet up to the TV and connect it. Also connect any other DVD, VCR, surround sound and power cords as they should be with your system. For aesthetics, cover the wires running up the wall with a wire cover.
