    • 1). Access the "Developer" tab. Then click the "Office" button on the left corner of the PowerPoint window.

    • 2). Select "PowerPoint Options" from the bottom of the drop-down menu that appears.

    • 3). Select the "Popular" category from the column at the left of the PowerPoint options window that appears.

    • 4). Open the PowerPoint presentation you are going to apply the macro to--and the presentation that contains the macro, if they are not the same. If you only plan on applying the macro to one slide, select that slide first. If the macro is only intended for a single object on that slide, select that object before running the macro.

    • 5). Click the "Macros" button located on the right corner of the Developer tab. A Macros window will appear on your screen, showing all of the available macros in the active presentation. If the macro you want to use is not currently in the presentation you want to apply it to, click the "Macro In" drop-down list and select "All open presentations."

    • 6). Select the macro you need to use, and then click the "Run" button. A few minutes might pass before the macro takes effect, depending on its complexity. Wait for the window to close on its own.
