Converting DVD to MP4 for Zune with HandBrake (MAC+PC) (Freeware)

• 1). Download HandBrake. Double-click the installer to begin setup. Once setup is complete, double-click the desktop icon to launch the program.
  
  
• 2). Insert your DVD. Click "Detected Volume" from the "Select a DVD" options and click "Open." Click the "Title" drop-down menu and choose the longest title which is usually the movie.
  
  
• 3). Click "Browse" in the "Destination" area and choose a destination for your converted MP4.
  
  
• 4). Click "Start" to begin the conversion. Wait for the conversion to finish. Upon completion, your converted MP4 will be located in the specified folder. You can now transfer it to your Zune in the usual way.
  
  

Converting DVD to MP4 for Zune with DVD Decrypter & Videora Video Converter (Freeware)

• 1). Download and install DVD Decrypter. Download and install Videora Video Converter. Install both applications by double-clicking the downloaded setup files.
  
  
• 2). Click "Start" "All Programs" then click "DVD Decrypter." Insert your DVD. Click "Mode" then click "IFO." Click the folder icon next to "Browse" and choose a folder where your DVD will be ripped. Click the "Rip" button (in bottom left of program). Exit DVD Decrypter once the rip is finished.
  
  
• 3). Click "Start" "All Programs". Click "Videora Video Converter." Click "Video File" and locate the file you just ripped with DVD Decrypter. Click "Next" then click "Browse" to choose a location for your MP4 to be placed. Click "Next" twice more, then click "Start Converting."
  
  
• 4). Wait for the conversion to finish. Your converted MP4 will be stored in your specified destination folder. You can now transfer it to your Zune in the usual way.
  
  

Converting with DVD to iPod Converter (Shareware)

• 1). Download DVD to iPod Converter. Double-click the installer to begin setup. Once setup is complete, double-click the desktop icon to launch the program.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Profiles" drop-down menu and select any of the ".mp4" profiles for iPod. The Zune and iPod use very similar resolutions and video screens so the profiles will work for both. Both iPod and Zune also utilize the MP4 technology.
  
  
• 3). Insert a DVD then click "Open DVD." Select the title of your DVD from the list, then click "Output Folder." Choose a folder for your converted MP4 to be placed.
  
  
• 4). Click "Record." Once conversion has finished, your DVD will be converted to an MP4. It is now ready for use with your Zune multimedia player.
