Red Sox Baby Shower Themes for Boys
- Create homemade invitations to set the theme for the event and tell guests what to expect. Create a baseball invitation by cutting circles out of white card stock and drawing red threads on them. Print all of the details, and use baseball-themed wording. For example: "Please join us to help Melissa and Kevin celebrate the arrival of the newest Red Sox fan!"
- The Red Sox's home field, Fenway Park, is known as "America's Most Beloved Ballpark," and true Red Sox fans will want the park recognized at the baby shower. Contact a local bakery, or a friend with baking talent, about creating a cake of Fenway Park. On the cake scoreboard, write "Congratulations on your baby boy!" or another celebratory, baby-themed message.
- A Red Sox themed baby shower must have navy and red decorations to match the team's colors. Use linens, napkins and tableware in this color scheme. Cut three large white circles out of card stock. Draw red threading on. If the parents have chosen a name, write the baby's monogram on the three baseballs. Create homemade Red Sox pennants using dowel rods and felt and write celebratory messages, such as "Welcome Baby Jones" on them.
- Match your gift to the theme of the baby shower. Have a personalized jersey in an infant size made for the baby. Put his last name on the jersey just like the real thing. Or, you can find onesies, socks, hats and hairbows in infant sizes that sport the official Red Sox logo. Make a gift basket featuring these items for the diehard Red Sox parents.
