How to Get Home Mortgage Grants
- 1). First step is to get find the funding that is available. Contact HUD, search for non-profit organizations in your area, visit your local government, or search the government grant database for home mortgage grants.
- 2). Once you find the funding programs that are available, closely review the eligibility requirements. Some of the home mortgage grants that you'll find may have very little limitation, while other programs may require a credit check and income verification. In some cases if you missed one monthly payment (regardless if you had the money or not) you can obtain federal assistance.
